Mission
Pod Charity is dedicated to making a real difference to overseas communities by supporting sustainable local initiatives improving the lives of people and animals and helping conserve the environment around the world.
Pod Charity supports:
- Relieving poverty and improving education, health and living conditions for socially and economically disadvantaged communities
- Improving care for animals in need
- Protecting the environment through research and conservation projects.
How it all started
Since 2001, Pod Volunteer has been providing volunteers to help at charitable projects around the world. The charity builds on the success of providing volunteers to overseas projects, by also enabling the provision of financial assistance.
The Pod Charity was established in 2010 as a grant making body to support charitable causes overseas.
Choose where your donation goes - 100% goes to where it’s needed!
Uniquely, donors to the Pod Charity can choose to allocate their donation to a specific project of their choice. You can choose from over 25 grassroot initiatives in countries around the world, for example it might be an animal rescue centre in Thailand you want to help.
And, because all the main running costs of the charity are covered by Pod Volunteer, we can pass on an incredible 100% of donations received to the projects we support!
Where Gift Aid is collected, this goes into a central fund to provide a source of additional grants for the projects.

How else can you get involved?
As well as donating you can get directly involved by volunteering much needed skills and resource – volunteers are needed for 1-12 weeks overseas.
